| The basic medications used to treat RF are steroidal anti-inflammatories to relieve inflammation, thereby releiving the severe pain associated with RF. Prednisone is the most common used but the side effects need to be a monitored concern. Tamoxifen is popular in trying to shrink the growth of the mass. Results seem to vary from person to person, as do side effects. Tamoxifen is normally used for the treatment of breast cancer and side effects in men are unknown. |
